LIFE ACCORDING TO LISA Speaking Of Beauty …
I love gardening, flowers, shrubs and all things green! I am the kind that can’t wait until it’s just barely warm enough to get outside and dig. This year I was especially chomping at the bit to get to the nursery and pick out my flowers. We finally had Spring rain in Georgia (we’ve been in drought conditions for the last 2 decades!) and I knew that if I could get some plants in the ground that they would look great in no time. Luckily the last cold snap only slightly “bit” my hydrangeas and some of my Knock-Out Rose buds. (If you don’t grow Knock-Out Roses, then shame on you! There are not many other flowering shrubs that are more care free and look more gorgeous than this type of rose bush.)
Anyway, what I most love to see are my hostas and azaleas getting huge and flowering like crazy. The picture
attached are some of my “prizes” that are now three years old. They have been fabulously gorgeous! I just wish that these azaleas bloomed all summer long. (There are some repeat blooming azaleas but these are not.) They make me smile with awe and satisfaction every time I look at them!
The great thing about gardening is that every Spring it reminds us that God lets the world start over. All I have to do is just have to look out my back door and see that life really is beautiful!
