pink_-_blondeWhen I was twelve my Mom took me to the nearest Erno Laszlo counter in the city. I was so excited to be getting my first experience as a young woman at a real cosmetic counter. Let’s face it when your twelve, Hello Kitty just doesn’t cut it anymore. However, I had my doubts when the woman told me I was going to be washing my face with a bar of sea mud soap. How disgusting!!!! I mean, come on Mom, do you honestly think I want to put mud on my face?! This experience was all about getting out of the mud pie business and into the real world of being a woman. I was not really going to wash my face with mud.

Fortunately, for my Mom I minded my manners and listened to the woman on the other side of the counter. dr_laszlo_blackandwhite-3This woman had the most beautiful face and her skin was just like porcelain. She was very kind and told me about all of the wonderful benefits I was going to receive from the Erno Laszlo line. The one thing that excited me the most was that I would be getting my very own membership card. I wondered, what did she mean by my own membership card…Mom was there with the plastic to purchase the products so I don’t need a membership card do I? So she explained. This card was only given to those who understood and appreciated the benefits of this line. If you don’t use and appreciate the line you can’t buy the products. Enough said, I wasn’t about to get kicked out of any chance at my first step into the cosmetic world. I also loved the idea of it being in an exclusive club. Other members included Jackie O., Marilyn Monroe, and, of course, Princess Stephanie of Hungary. If it was good enough for them it was good enough for me!

So who was this Hungarian Dr. and what did he know about Jackie O., Marilyn Monroe and the Princess? How did he turn these women from ugly ducklings to beautiful swans? Could it be these special products in the line or was there more to this Doctor?

To be continued….
