Pink is a natural on lips, cheeks and fingertips.  But what about pink shades on the eye area?  If wearing pink near the eye makes you think ‘pink eye’, think again.  Pink accentuates blue eyes and dresses up simple, casual outfits like a white tee shirt and jeans while adding a feminine touch to business attire, as well. 

Pink around the eye works when you counterbalance it with golden tones on eyes, cheeks or lips.  In the look shown, pink is on the lid and gold is in and above the crease. But you can just as easily flip the colors for an alternate look.  Think of it as two-in-one!   Nars Duo Eyeshadow in Brazil is a great choice to create this look.

Make it dramatic:  Play with different tones and textures of pink shadow to find the one that’s right for you.  There are *tons* of pink shadows to choose from.  For the face chart, I used MAC’s “Maria’s Mood”, available in stores Thursday, August 20th.

Make it subtle: Omit the pink lipstick and stick with clear or beige gloss
