CONFESSIONS OF A HIGH MAINTENANCE CHICK – The Coffee Collection II

White.

Chocolate.

Mocha.

One, two, three, let’s say it all together now…. yummmmmmmm.  In part two of my three part series of make-up looks inspired by my favorite coffee drinks, we take a look at the Peppermint White Chocolate Mocha. Starbucks describes this drink as:  a delightful combination of espresso and steamed milk, sweetened with flavors of white chocolate and peppermint; topped with peppermint whipped cream and dark chocolate curls!

Samantha as Peppermint Mocha Mama

I describe it as mocha-chocalata goodness.  I translate this look with peppermint-red lips and a slight touch of chocolate smoke around the eyes.  My model, Samantha, portrays the perfect Peppermint White Chocolate Mocha Mama.  Samantha usually wears very natural make-up looks, so it took her a little while to ‘warm up’ to trying this one.  But as you can see from the pic, she’s a beautiful “swiss miss”.

Cheeks: Stick with very muted shaded to create contour.  No springy-summer colors.  Think almost muddy-pink.

Lips:  Red, Red and RED!!!  For Samantha, I applied a minimal amount of lipstick first, them applied lip liner to amplify the lip. A touch more lipstick to fill in any gaps, then a shimmery ruby red gloss in the center of the lip.  On Samantha, I used Clarins Gloss Appeal in a dark crimson red. (forgot the name oops!)

If you missed my first look out of The Coffee Collection, don’t cry over steamed milk.  I posted “Carmel Macchiato” on Tuesday, September 8th.  You can find it and catch up.  Come back Saturday to see the series finale… it’s good… promise!
