LONE STAR STATE OF MIND – Cara Cosmetics

Submitted by on Tuesday, 13 July 20104 Comments

It’s a great day for me when I get to play with new cosmetics! I love creating new looks, trying out new brands and products and adding new faves to my growing list of beauty must-haves.

Cara Cosmetics International is a company that was entirely new to me and I was excited about seeing what they had to offer. First, I learned a bit about the company.

Cara Cosmetics International was founded by Leslie G. Christin who saw a need for a cosmetics line that was exceptional and met the demands of an ethnically diverse market. She is passionate about showing women how to “rediscover their own beauty” and strives to provide “Beauty Everywhere for Everyone at Every age”. Cara (Spanish for “face”) Cosmetics can be found in over 200 exclusive spas, resorts and salons across the US and the US Virgin Islands.

To help me rediscover my beauty, I tried two of Cara’s cruelty-free, hypo-allergenic UNICOLORs and one of their lipsticks.

UNICOLOR is versatile, long-lasting and has a wonderful texture. Not only can you use them as eye shadows, but also as eyeliners, blush and also on your brows! I had no problems with the ugly mid-day eye shadow crease and UNICOLORs can be worn wet for a more dramatic, night-time look or dry for a more traditional office/day look. The “Shanghai” and “Toulouse” shades that I tried were perfect for creating a beautiful smoky eye and Cara Cosmetics offers shades from traditional to trendy and can be purchased online at cara-cosmetics.com for $15 each.

With my smoky eyes finished, I was ready to complete my look with Cara Cosmetic’s lipstick in “Maxine”.  The bright pink shade was a great pick-me-up and was a fun switch from my usual neutral shades. Cara’s lipsticks come in a variety of shades to compliment all skin tones and are light-weight, creamy and long-lasting. I love them! You can purchase your own shade of Cara Cosmetics lipstick online at cara-cosmetics.com for $18.

I am very impressed with Cara Cosmetics and look forward to trying many more of their products in the future. With a line that includes everything from concealers and application tools, to lip glosses and liners, Cara Cosmetics will have a product that’s perfect for you! Check out all of these products online at www.cara-cosmetics.com and rediscover YOUR own beauty.

The products mentioned in this post were provided to me by Cara Cosmetics and Southern Beauty Magazine in exchange for an honest review. The opinions expressed are my own and no other compensation was provided.
